The Renaissance is the period from 1350 to 1600 in Western Europe and is a very important time period that changed the way that people in Europe viewed the world. Western society was presented with new and controversial ideas, world views, wisdom and art. However, the new ideologies that were emerging seemed only to benefit man, and excluded the majority of women from equal development. The majority of the female population and the obstacles that they faced must be the basis of analysis. Noble and wealthy females may have had the opportunity to receive an education because of their financial state, whereas other women did not have that opportunity. And although some may argue that women were present and powerful during the Renaissance, they are only studying the extremely wealthy women who are an exception to overall being of females.
