…people like Adolf Hitler exploited as an encouragement for the people to believe in him, as he said that he could refortify Germany. Whether a lenient treaty would've prevented the Second World War, we will never know. All I can say is that the humiliated terms of the Treaty of Versailles had other motives behind the peace agreement. These selfish motives not only lead to the hardship of Germany, but to a horrific second war.
