The matter of whether or not to provide protection to whistle blowers in Canadian Government Organizations has been discussed for many years. However, to date, there has not been a bill passed to give whistle blowers full protection. …and giving it to the people. The advantages of having a protection act for whistle blowers in our legislation are all quite obvious. The sooner the Canadian Government implements a law protecting pubic servants for whistleblowing the better. Giving protection to these people will save their careers and reputations, deter government organizations from performing wrongdoings, move Canada forward, give a degree of respect back to the government, as well as power back to the people.
