years ago, helped to explain certain long misunderstood things about planets and their movements. But the same thinking about very large objects, in motion, like stars, planets, solar sysems, simply does not work accurately when you look at microscopic things, like atoms. Too, since the development of the theory of relativity, we have made many technological advances that have allowed us to make accurate measurements, and to basically confirm the theory is correct.
