The rules and regulations of these workhouses served well and improved the principles and characteristics of the paupers, improving their chance in finding a job outside the workhouse. As a result, many paupers were provided better jobs than they had ever had, and increased the living conditions of the paupers who would have left the workhouses. These good workhouses served Britain well and were definitely helpful to the lower class.
