In comparison to the two Revolutions, the French revolution was true whereas the American was a pseudo-revolution. This is because the French has many more characteristics of a real revolt. …French Revolution, though it seemed a failure in 1799, it proved to have far-reaching results. The bourgeois and landowning classes seemed to have emerged as the dominant power. Feudalism was dead and social order became consolidated by the Code Napoleon. The Revolution unified France and enhanced the power of the national state. The Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars tore down the ancient structure of Europe, hastened the advent of nationalism and initiated the era of modern warfare.
