President Roosevelt knew from cracking the codes that if Japan attacked Germany would declare war. Pearl Harbor is a "day of infamy" for more reasons then that Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. It is a "day of infamy" because the President of the United States sacrificed men, ships, and planes to fulfill his secret agenda, war with Hitler. War might have been inevitable but it was not inevitable for 2403 soldiers to die in vain.
