…safe to say that Roosevelt and his New Deal saved the people of the United States in a way that was, at the time, unknown to leaders who had come before. Under the Roosevelt administration a transformation took place, a transformation that would remain untouched even in today's society. The government is no longer a spectator, but rather an active aspect in the lives of the American people, not too forceful and not too weak.
