His remains were brought to Paris in 1840 and placed in the Invalides, where they still lie. Napoleon was a hard worker who liked simple things. His persistence and ambitions gave him what he longed for as a child, but ironically took it away from him as well. Napoleon was a modest man who wore cheap clothes, and didn't eat fancy, expensive food, which goes to show that the 'little Corsican' was just a commoner within.
