The democratic political system has proved to be one of the best systems of government of all time. In a democratic system of government the majority rule is how decisions are reached. Usually with a vote from a group of people whether it be the elected officials in office, or the lower ranking registered voters. a large group following or a large amount of money will make it hard for anyone else to make an impact on government decisions. What about the voter that is not a part of a special interest group? They still have a vote and a voice, but they will most likely not be heard over the interest groups. So in a way the special interest groups do obstruct the majority rule in a democratic system.
