7 - The Death of Gilgamesh
Gilgamesh's destiny, decreed by Enlil (the father of the gods), was now fulfilled. The people of Uruk and his mother Ninsun mourned. The mourners weighed out their offerings to Ereshkigal, the Queen of Death; Namtar, the god of fate; and to all the gods of the dead. Gilgamesh lies in his tomb.
