…making them pointless because someone out there will do it, and that person will distribute the patch for the anti-piracy feature that will override it on the Internet. Even hardware locks can be bypassed because they have to use proprietary drivers that are used by system software. If there is to be any complete solution to prevent the illegal use of software, I am pretty sure we wont be seeing it for quite some time.
