…e actor, who built the Globe and established the Blackfriars Theatre; Richard Burbage was one of the great tragic actors of his day and the roles of Hamlet, Othello and Lear were probably written for him. Burbage Kempe and Shakespeare were all major shareholders in the Globe Theater. Edward Allyen was another great actor of the day but all I could find on him was that he was born in 1566 and died in 1626.
