It also says that states may not pass laws to discriminate unreasonably against any group of people. The NAACP was lead by Thurgood Marshall. This was a group that fought for equal protection for blacks. Thurgood Marshall was later appointed to the supreme court after he fought the Brown vs. Board of Education court case.
