The sequence I am analysing is the opening scenes set on Omaha Beach on D-day, June 6th 1944. …However, some techniques, like the one above make this film a classic. In using this mix of techniques Spielberg has pulled the bes tof both world and added them to his film. I believe that this opening sequence is used to demonstrate this. It also has a moredamatic effect than the rest of the film and this shows that he is an excellent director as it entices the audienceint watching the rest of the film.
