…work that I am able to connect with in a personal way. When I read the lines written by this poet I can picture her looking at herself in a mirror with a little bit of surprise on her face, while she notices those similarities to her ancestry. A common ground can be found in a lot of places, I am grateful to this author for pointing out this type of common ground to me.
