Furthermore, with gay relationships becoming progressively more prevalent in today's society there is no reason they should not have the same privileges as heterosexual couples. The religious standpoint of this issue has little relevance anymore as the Bible's teachings are not the framework of our government. Legalizing gay marriage can only improve our society by making a large part of the population feel socially accepted and content.
