…this is insanity, because of all the effort and money that would be put into it. If the government tries and fails at cracking down on piracy, it will show that the government cannot stop piracy. This will lead to increased piracy. Eventually, corporations will release products with very tight encryption and authentication requirements that cannot be hacked around or distributed.
