The child should have been told the consequences for his actions; like tell him if he can not behave in the restaurant then he will have to leave the restaurant, I feel that if the child still insist on misbehaving then the parents need to stop what they are doing and leave. I know this can be an inconvenience but so is a child who is not well mannered, or disciplined.
