With a final kiss, he boarded the plane and flew off into the
darkness of the night.
I stood there, with one hand on the window, staring at the
spot where the aircraft's tiny lights could faintly be seen.
"Only a memory," I whispered to myself, "only a memory away..."
I turned towards my friends and headed home, feeling at ease
and never once looking back.
