In the poem "One Art", Elizabeth Bishop writes about many things that she has lost and the way she coped with them. The poet loses many things and learns to live with it. She loses things that are important to her, but tries to deny and hide her pain. When she lost her love, it was hard for her to deal with it and it seems as though she really misses him and is falling apart.
