Contaminated water entering the ocean is a huge pollution problem that must be controlled before it gets worse. Though most water dumped in the ocean is satisfactorily cleaned, all wastewater effluent needs to be clean enough so that it does not pose a health hazard. Polluted water is a huge health risk to all living things on the planet.
