…ensemble. In my opinion, many high school students use the word band as such a general term. One might hear, "She's a band geek!" or "He's a band dork!" I've even heard people ask, "Do you beat or blow?" Some teens can be very cruel, but still a difference exists between marching and concert band. The physical activity, mental process, adrenalin, and conductor are just a few things that make these two wonderful activities different.
