Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will always haunt me. When I was in elementary school I became involved in Girl Scouts. The organization is about helping others in the community and becoming one with nature. However, in elementary school Girls Scouts is just for gossiping girls to pick on each other. While I had first thought my lack of singing capabilities would affect me in a negative way for the rest of my life, I have since learned otherwise. I no longer resent those Girl Scouts for turning me off to singing. They enabled me to look elsewhere for a passion. While I still do not sing out loud in front of other people, I have no problem banging on a drum.
