Behavior in traditional Chinese society reflects traditional beliefs because of the way women were treated as being inferior to men, the way children were expected to act under the idea of filial piety, and how relationships were run under the Confusion idea of the five relationships. Together as a whole these parts of traditional Chinese beliefs can explain why the Chinese behaved like they did.
