Security. The new Department is the consolidation of agencies such as The Coast Guard, The Immigration and Naturalization Services, The Transportation Security Agency and many others. In order to ensure the security of our homeland the new department would have to focus on working with the many agencies to provide safety and security. Working with these agencies and the other twenty-five that make up the new department will be a tough task getting it started but it will provide safety from something like September 11th and prepare us as a nation for any other terrorist attacks in the future.
