Standards and Expectations
In American society most of us have good health, enough to eat, and a roof over our heads. We take for granted that we have a system of laws and regulations to deal with any eventuality. Our system is based on the assumption that free people will be honest in government. This is its greatest strength and it's greatest weakness.

I personally think we should enforce standards like those in Russia, or Europe where education is still standardized and teaches the 4 basics and how to apply them to a problem to find a solution. This is what we had here 40 years ago, and should bring back. Lowering our standards for education and expectations of our government is a downward spiral that will end in destruction.
