My favorite teacher was Janet D. in elementary school. Her classroom consisted of dark green wa1ls, brown hardwood floors, wooden chairs and alphabet letters around the room. …student with dreadlocks. I said to myself, this kid probably likes rap music. We spoke for a while and much to my surprise he loves Country and Rock n Roll music. These children reminded me what it was like to be a kid. They also gave me a gift about hope, love, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. My soul has been touched by elementary students that are not aware of the gifts they posses.
