For example, Ferdinand and Isabella were such rulers that supported and promoted exploration. Without support from major rulers, then exploration would more than likely have ceased. These were all major factors in the promotion of exploration. The economy, technology, religion, and political figures all worked together, in a sense, to promote exploration.
