When family television programs first originated the values expressed in these shows were very different from the ones we see today. After watching Seventh Heaven, Everwood, and the Gilmore Girls I have seen the different family styles and the values that are the result of that. Despite the controversial subjects on these family shows I believe that it might be helpful for parents who need a little push to talk about such import topics with their children.
