…in winning the election. The election of 2000 showed a major change in party loyalties. Probably the most prominent social force in the election was the racial gap in which blacks and other minorities were pro-Bush. Suprisingly the 2000 election was not dominated by the gender gap- where woman seem to vote more often for democrats, and men for republicans. As for religion Catholics and Jewish people voted heavily for Gore, while prosentants voted heavy for Bush.
