The high accident rate in Israel has always been a problem. People die in vehicle accidents every day, but our government to be more interested in other issues, and fails to solve this problem. It's a pity that they don't realize the severity of it. Lives could be saved if the members of our government would stop being so incredibly self-involved with themselves and would get up off their high horse, stop admiring their paychecks, …

…If this happens, drivers will learn to fear being caught and will stop trying to bypass the traffic rules. And finally, driver's licence holders should be re-tested every few years. Is this unfair? After all, if a good driver could pass his driving test once, why should he have any problem passing it again? It's the bad drivers that will fail their second tests and will then be where they belong - off the road.
