The US Court of Appeals for the District of Colombia recently threw out Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules requiring TV and radio stations to make special efforts to recruit minority job applicants (Love). Without these rules the court is preventing the FCC from using sanctions, even in cases where a broadcasting company is showing no effort to higher minorities. This is just another step backwards in the struggle to diversify the broadcasting industry.
