1. Introduction:
The main two groups fighting in Northern Ireland are the Catholics and
Protestants. They differ both in religion and in their feelings as to what should happen to
Northern Ireland. The Protestants side with the British who once ruled Northern Ireland
and the Catholics fight for a united Ireland. There are many political parties in Northern
Ireland on both sides of the battle. Probably the most well known is the Sinn Fein party.

not to scream racism if they were to get
arrested or favoritism if a Protestant were to be shown leniency, this problem must be
addressed. The last suggestion I would give to Northern Ireland is to deal with the real
victims of the fighting, the innocent children and civilians who are forever scarred
because of what they have experienced. The government should provide more free
counseling services and funded programs to deal with these tragedies.
