Compassion I often offer my time to the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF), whether it is working hands on with the animals or helping raise money for the organization. I feel pity for the animals I consume (livestock) and compassion for others (the "special animals") because I cannot feel the pain and sadness of something that I cannot emotional connect with; in this case, animals considered livestock.
