…most people of Middle Eastern decent or race as a suspected terrorist. As a result many people were accused of acts of terrorism when in fact they had done nothing. Both of these events, the cold war and the 9/11 attack, sparked a sense of fear and paranoia in the American public. And in many cases that fear and paranoia led to the accusation of many innocent people, and in some cases the ruining of lives.
