Bruce Lee was born in San Francisco. He was born in the Chinese year of the dragon, on the morning of November 27, 1940. He was born under the supervision of Dr. Mary Glover who gave him the American name Bruce. From an early age he was an unique child with immense energy. His Chinese name was Lee Jun Fan, which meant return again given by his mother, when the family moved back to Hong Kong in 1941.
