Beowulf is the first English literature master piece. It tells a story about a hero who killed Grendel the monster in order to save the Dutch's from his evil. Finally, this story is a myth and legendary human imagination. Its content is based in the super natural characters, religious traditions and beliefs that might twist up a child brain.
