In conclusion, Grant Wood's style in both paintings gave a strong and powerful meaning. Although the paintings were dissimiliar in many ways, the basic meaning was comparatively the same. Farming was a major contributor to the American economy during the depression, and Wood's portrayal of this time period is expressed in both paintings equally.
