…I looked up just in time to see the final second tick off the clock. The whistle blew. The game was over, and my senior year of football was finished. The team gathered in a straight line to congratulate our opponents. No one spoke a word, but merely shook hands. With heads down and eyes moist, we headed towards the locker room for the last time. The game was over, and so was football forever.
