CONCLUSION: The controversy of such a bioethical issue may never be resolved, however it is the mothers decision what she does during pregnancy as she has all rights over the baby until it is born, even if its not in the best interests of the child. Pregnant mothers should have more awareness of the risks they are taking that could harm their children. Perhaps more Government warnings could be placed like they do for smoking.
