The federal program, commonly referred to as the W.I.C program, is a special supplemental program for women, infants and children that has become a major concern within the confines of federal and state officials. Numerous food stores are using methods to cater to the low-income people, but in some cases those specific methods have ended up causing major concerns with the recipients. food prices are high, for whatever reason, it means our federal grant cannot go as far and cannot serve as many people. This is one of the down fall situations already squeezing the budget for more money to better the program.
The higher cost is passed on to the federal treasury, which finances the program with money appropriated by Congress, which drives from the taxpayer. Altogether, we are not just affected socially, but economically too.
