Every year, hundreds of people are killed by natural disasters. Whether it be a flash flood in Kansas, a mudslide in Ecuador, or a sandstorm in Libya, mother nature sometimes throws whatever she has in her arsenal at mankind. …literally looked liked a warzone. So on the issue of power, hurricanes are right up there with earthquakes. In conclusion, earthquakes and hurricanes are both terrible natural disasters. It would seem that earthquakes have that element of surprise that makes it more dangerous than a hurricane, but by no means should one be taken more lightly than the other. During and after both disasters, people should be prepared to fulfill the full meaning 'to survive'.
