Plants are the most important part of our ecology, both in water and land. Therefore, for our experimental variable, we chose to increase the amount of plant life in an aquztic environment. Plant life is really important in natural world mainly because it is a provider of oxygen for other organisms. The clam that was put in the control tank died, unlike the one in the experiment, which together with the number of protists gives us an idea that more plants actually creates a better environment for other organisms, and supports bio-diversity.
