The hemp plant is arguably the most useful crop in the world. There are over 25, 000 products made from hemp and it can be grown in a wide variety of climates. So how can such a useful plant be outlawed in America? Ignorance is how. People automatically connect hemp with it’s controversial cousin, marijuana. The truth is the differences between marijuana and hemp are very distinct.

…and will not even hear of legalizing it. This mindset has only hindered our country, and by now, we should have learned to consider all points before you judge something. Hemp is not marijuana. There is no reason for it to be illegal. Hopefully, someone will realize the senselessness that has been persisting since the 1930’s and make a change, but until then, America will have to miss out on a huge opportunity.
