was anhonest guy because Chaucer says, “He’d fixed up many marriage, giving each of his youngest women what he could afford her.” You would think that he gave all the women whatever he could possible afford, but in actuality, he was having intimite physical relationships with them. Chaucer stated, “Highly beloved and intimate was he with county fold within his boundary." (219) This just goes to show you how decietful the Friar was.
