The end of the novel was left very open. I felt as though there is no conclusion. Where is the sequel? I think that Walton will not continue Victors quest to see the monster dead. The monster only had one reason to live, and that was to make Victor’s life a living hell. Now that Victor is dead the monster no longer has any reason to live. The monster says at

felt bad for Victor, however he did bring his own misery upon himself. If Victor would have never created the monster he would be happy and married to Elizabeth.
Over all, I liked the book. It was an interesting story and very well written. After learning about the romantic period and all of the poetry, I thought that this was going to be a horrible book, however I was mistaken. I enjoyed it very much.
