…Meursault’s indifference, which at first glance were at seemingly opposite ends of the spectrum, achieve the same end… a reversal of power. There are different ways to achieve power as pointed out here by Meursault and Martin Luther King Jr. Overall Meursault, through a veil of indifference, avoids releasing his power to those who try to take it, whereas King uses his deep commitment to manipulate power relationships, and to finally achieve his goals.
