Borowski’s “Silence” and Wiesel’s “The Watch” are stories about the Holocaust. Both short stories are great work of fiction that give the reader a clear image and idea of what the Jews’ experienced. During the Holocaust, both short stories experienced great lost and great pain. Therefore, the characters in the stories developed feelings of hatred and vengeance. …both short stories are worked of fiction, the stories give the reader a vivid image and idea of what the Jews experienced. Many Jews experienced great lost and great pain. Therefore, many Jews developed feelings of hatred and vengeance. Both stories made me realize that many Jewish lives were never the same after the Holocaust. The Jews had too many wounds that took too many years to be healed or that never healed at all.
