In recent years the percentage increase in women incarcerated has grown much faster. Thus causing increasing concerns in society for the problems of women and the problems of prisoners. …and obvious de-socialization that occurs within the correctional system for women, it is no wonder that the recidivism rates get higher every year. If more time was taken into providing equal correction opportunities congruent with those of the male systems, I feel women within the institution would have a better chance in the outside world.
